Polyphenol stilbenoid from grape skin, red wine, and Japanese knotweed. Activates sirtuins (longevity proteins), inhibits collagen-degrading enzymes, and protects against UV-induced damage. Potentiates retinol when combined — a popular 3rd Wave anti-aging stack. Used in luxury K-Beauty serums and also by brands like The Ordinary.

A randomized, investigator-blinded split-face study evaluated a 14-day post-laser regimen using a vitamin C/E/ferulic serum together with a separate resveratrol-containing night serum versus normal saline. This is evidence for that multi-product post-procedure regimen, not an isolated vitamin C–resveratrol effect or a general instruction to layer arbitrary products.
