Routine builder and comparison data
Products you add to a routine are stored in your browser's local storage. Routine, comparison, graph, and filter state may also be serialized into the page URL so it can be restored, shared, or bookmarked. When that URL is requested, the hosting service processes the full request and it may appear in operational logs. Do not put personal, medical, or confidential information in a URL; the tools do not require free-form health information.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page and device information. Its client event URL is redacted to remove the query string before transmission, so shared product selections and graph filters are not included in that analytics URL. Vercel describes this product as cookie-free and based on anonymized, short-lived visitor measurement.
Google Analytics 4 may also be enabled through production configuration to measure feature usage such as coarse page groups, successful graph readiness, graph opens, routine additions, comparison actions, and Amazon-link views or clicks. When enabled, its page location and custom events receive the origin and pathname without the query string. Custom events may include a public content identifier such as a product, ingredient, article, or brand slug, an AM/PM label, and the feature or link placement. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and process device, referral, and approximate location information under Google's own terms. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, complete routines or product combinations, URL query contents, search text, or free-form health information as analytics event properties.
Affiliate links
Product links to Amazon are Associate links: if you click through and make a qualifying purchase, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Once you click an outbound Amazon link, Amazon's own privacy policy and tracking apply — we don't control and can't see what happens on their site.
Advertising
K-Beauty Atlas does not currently run display advertising. If that changes, we will add a consent management flow for visitors in regions that require it (including the EEA, UK, and similar frameworks) before any ad-related cookies or identifiers are set, and we will update this page first.
Analytics provider information
Read Vercel's Web Analytics privacy and compliance documentation and Google's privacy policy for information about their own processing and controls.
What we don't do
- We don't require an account or collect names, emails, or payment details for using the site.
- We don't sell personal data.
- We don't knowingly direct the site at children under 13 or knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices
Most browsers let you block or clear cookies and site data at any time. Clearing local site storage removes locally saved routines; clearing cookies resets identifiers used by tools that rely on them. Blocking analytics does not prevent the graph, Directory, articles, routine builder, or comparison tool from working.
