Niacinamide
나이아신아마이드
INCI: NIACINAMIDE
Vitamin B3 — the defining active of the 3rd Wave. Multi-functional: inhibits melanin transfer (brightening), regulates sebum (pore refinement), reinforces the ceramide layer (barrier), and has anti-inflammatory properties (acne). Uniquely well-tolerated across most skin types. The 10–15% concentration serums popularized by COSRX and The Ordinary made high-dose actives accessible.
How to read this ingredient
Read Niacinamide as part of a finished formula
Active is an editorial discovery category, not a regulatory classification or guarantee of efficacy. Read the exact INCI name, formula position, declared amount when available, and finished-product evidence.

Reviewed ingredient relationships
Labels summarize the scope of the reviewed evidence. Formula-supported does not mean every separately formulated product pair is synergistic, compatible, or suitable for every person.
A four-week randomized study in 44 healthy participants evaluated finished serums containing 2% or 3% tranexamic acid together with 2% niacinamide, 4% alpha-arbutin, and 4% galactomyces ferment filtrate. Pigmentation measures improved, but the multi-ingredient design cannot isolate this pair, prove synergy, or establish results for separately layered products.
The pair appears in directly relevant finished-formula or regimen evidence. This does not prove that every product pairing is synergistic.
Products containing Niacinamide
Only active products with a published reviewed formula are listed. Presence does not establish concentration or product performance.
Common formula companions
Ingredients frequently mapped in the same products as Niacinamide. This is a formula pattern, not a compatibility or safety claim.
